Since Fatto a Mano started, we’ve done what we can to support the amazing work local charities do in our communities. In 2021 we’re proud to have supported a number of great causes, including Brighton Foodbank, and the Good Food Matters Charity, based in Croydon. BRIGHTON FOODBANK

By helping individuals and families in times of crisis with food, housing, debt and money advice, the Brighton Foodbank offer comfort and friendship to people who may have nowhere else to turn. We have been working with Brighton Food Bank since 2019, they are not just a partner, they’re also our neighbours at our original pizzeria in London Road.

GOOD FOOD MATTERS CHARITY

Good Food Matters is a food learning centre with a mission to enable everyone to cook and grow nutritious, balanced meals – making a positive impact on the health and wellbeing of their community. Based in Croydon, they have a beautiful small building used for cooking classes, event and community groups, as well as a garden where Good Food Matters grow their own vegetables.

Throughout January 2021, Fatto a Mano pledged to donate 50p for every pizza ordered by you, our customers, to takeaway or click and collect. So we’re donating an amazing £1,874!

Thank you to everyone who braved the January weather to come and pick up their pizza, and helped us donate much needed funds to support the work that Brighton Foodbank do. 

Together, our customers & Fatto a Mano pizzerias have been supporting our local Brighton Foodbank since 2019, raising money from sponsored walks and other fundraising efforts. Last summer you raised over £3,000 through donations to the ‘Fatto food bank fund’, with us doing our part by giving each donor a free pizza at Fatto a Mano. 

With our local independent pizzerias, Fatto a Mano are committed to supporting the community we live in, including food banks who are doing essential work providing food, advice and emotional support to some of those most in need.

More exciting news from us at Fatto a Mano Pizza! Our collaboration special pizzas launch today… Gem’s Sunshine Kale Pesto Pizza (vegan) with roasted squash, slow dried tomatoes, olives, pine nuts and rocket. And if you prefer, we are also serving this pizza with mozzarella. 

We’ve teamed up with Brighton based chef, Gem Ogston of Gem’s Wholesome Kitchen to bring you a fresh, plant-based twist on our classic Fatto a Mano pizzas.

Both specials are available to order now in our pizzerias! Just head down to Fatto a Mano to pick up, or order from our website to click and collect or delivery. 

 

Make your own dough & pizza, together at home! Have fun making our Tray Pizza, creating your own dough. We’ll provide all the ingredients you need to make a Margherita Tray Pizza, just add your own tray and as many toppings as you like!

Our kits include flour, tomato and mozzarella from Campania, as well as olive oil, yeast and salt. Just remember you’re making your own pizza from scratch, so the dough needs to be proved for 6 – 10 hours. You can get your Fatto a Mano Pizza at Home kit at our pizzerias in London Rd, Brighton and Church Rd, Hove, or via our website to Click & Collect or for local delivery.

Rather than trying to replicate our Neapolitan style pizzas made by our chefs (tricky without the super hot ovens!), Fatto a Mano Pizza at Home has an adapted recipe, so you can make a Tray Pizza in your own oven at home. The step by step guide included in your kit is simple and easy to follow, whether on your own or as a fun project as a household.

Fatto a Mano Pizza is donating 50p for every pizza you pick up (takeaway at the counter or Click & Collect), throughout January. 

With our local independent pizzerias, we are committed to supporting the community we live in during the new lockdown, including foodbanks who are doing essential work providing food, advice and emotional support to some of those most in need.

In the summer of 2020 during lockdown 1.0, Fatto a Mano customers helped to raise over £3,000 for Brighton Foodbank. For each donation to the Foodbank, every donor received a card entitling them to a free pizza at Fatto a Mano. Alongside Italian specialist supplier Salvo, a truck load of pasta, tomatoes, sauces and other Italian essentials was delivered to Brighton Foodbank.

How can you help during January 2021? Simply by ordering pizza to collect from Fatto a Mano Pizzerias at London Road, Brighton or Church Road, Hove… we will be donating 50p for every collection pizza sold, from our Margheritas to the monthly specials.
